The Simplex 4098-9756 is an addressable duct sensor housing designed to detect smoke within air conditioning or ventilation ducts. It features a factory-installed TrueAlarm photoelectric smoke sensor and provides a supervised relay output for controlling external devices.
Key Features:
• TrueAlarm Analog Sensing: Continuously monitors individual sensor data, allowing the host control panel to determine sensor status and perform environmental compensation.
• Supervised Relay Output: Includes a supervised output for multiple remote relays, requiring separate 24 VDC power; one relay is included. The relay output is under panel control and can be activated manually or in response to specific inputs.
• Clear Cover with Test Ports: The transparent cover allows for visual inspection, and test ports provide access for functional smoke testing without removing the cover.
• Diagnostic LEDs: Equipped with a red Alarm/Trouble LED for sensor status and communications polling display, and a yellow LED for indicating open or shorted trouble conditions of the supervised relay control.
• Flexible Mounting Options: Suitable for installation on rectangular ducts with a minimum size of 8 inches (203 mm) square or round ducts with a minimum diameter of 18 inches (457 mm).
