The Simplex 4098-9733 is an intelligent, addressable heat sensor designed for use with Simplex fire alarm control panels. It provides reliable rate-compensated, fixed-temperature detection, with optional rate-of-rise sensing, making it suitable for various commercial and industrial applications. 

Key Features:

• Rate-Compensated, Fixed-Temperature Sensing: Activates an alarm when the ambient temperature reaches a predetermined threshold, ensuring accurate detection even during gradual temperature changes.

• Optional Rate-of-Rise Detection: Selectable at the control panel for either 15°F (8.3°C) or 20°F (11.1°C) per minute, providing rapid response to swiftly increasing temperatures.

• Self-Restoring Operation: Automatically resets after the temperature returns to normal, eliminating the need for manual intervention.

Specifications:

• Fixed Temperature Settings: Programmable to operate at 135°F (57.2°C) or 155°F (68°C).

• Operating Temperature Range: 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C).

• Humidity Range: 10% to 95% relative humidity (RH), non-condensing.

• Dimensions: Compatible with standard Simplex sensor bases; dimensions vary based on the selected base.

Compatibility:

The 4098-9733 heat sensor is compatible with Simplex fire alarm control units that support TrueAlarm analog sensing, including models 4007ES, 4010, 4010ES, 4100ES, and 4100U series. It can be used with various Simplex sensor bases, such as the 4098-9792 standard base and the 4098-9789 base with wired connections for remote LED alarm indicators or unsupervised relays.
