Simplex 4098-9751 In-Duct Smoke Detector Housing

The Simplex 4098-9751 is an in-duct smoke detector housing designed to install the 4098-9714 TrueAlarm analog photoelectric sensor directly into HVAC ductwork. This configuration is ideal for applications where traditional sampling tube duct detectors are unsuitable due to low air velocity or small duct sizes. 

Key Features:

• Direct In-Duct Sensor Installation: Allows the 4098-9714 sensor to be mounted directly within the duct airflow, accommodating duct air velocities from 0 to 4,000 feet per minute (0 to 1,220 meters per minute). 

• Integrated Relay Output: Equipped with a programmable relay rated at 1 A @ 28 VDC (power-limited) or 0.5 A @ 120 VAC (non-power-limited), enabling direct control of auxiliary functions such as fan shutdown or damper control. 

• Transparent Housing Cover: Features a clear cover that allows for easy visual inspection of the internal sensor and status LED indicators without disassembly. 

• Compatibility with Round and Rectangular Ducts: Standard models fit rectangular ducts ranging from 6 inches (152 mm) to 36 inches (914 mm) square. Optional adapters are available for round ducts with diameters of 6, 8, 10, or 12 inches (152, 203, 254, or 305 mm). 

• Remote Monitoring Options: Supports optional remote test stations and remote LED alarm indicators for convenient status monitoring and testing from accessible locations.
