Siemens PAD-3 Distributed Power Module

The Siemens PAD-3 is a distributed power module designed to expand the power capabilities of fire alarm control units (FACUs). It provides additional power for notification appliances and auxiliary devices, ensuring compliance with building safety codes and standards. 

Key Features:

• Notification Appliance Circuit (NAC) Expansion: The PAD-3 offers four power-limited NAC outputs, each rated at 3 amps. These outputs can be configured as:

• Four Class B (Style Y) circuits

• Two Class A (Style Z) circuits

• Auxiliary Power Output: Provides a dedicated, power-limited auxiliary output rated at 3 amps. This output can be configured as:

• Non-resettable (always on)

• Resettable, turning off 30 seconds after AC power loss to conserve battery power

• Integrated Battery Charger: Includes a built-in battery charging circuit for sealed lead-acid batteries, supporting capacities from 7 to 15 ampere-hours (A.H.).

• Supervision and Diagnostics: Equipped with LEDs for status indication and supervision of AC power, battery condition, ground faults, and NAC integrity.

• Trouble Relay: Features a form C trouble relay that de-energizes under fault conditions, facilitating remote monitoring.

• Secondary Power: 24 VDC sealed lead-acid battery set (7 to 15 A.H.)
