The Notifier ISO-X is an intelligent, addressable fault isolator module designed to protect fire alarm systems against wire-to-wire short circuits on the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) loops. By isolating sections of the loop where a short circuit has occurred, the ISO-X ensures that the rest of the system remains operational, thereby enhancing overall system reliability.
Key Features:
• Automatic Isolation: Upon detecting a short circuit, the ISO-X automatically opens the SLC loop to isolate the affected section, preventing the short from compromising the entire system. Once the short circuit is corrected, the module automatically resets, restoring normal operation.
• LED Indicator: Equipped with an integral LED that blinks to indicate normal conditions and illuminates steadily when a short circuit is detected, providing clear visual status updates.
• High Noise Immunity: Designed with high immunity to electromagnetic and radio frequency interference (EMF/RFI), ensuring reliable performance in various environments.
• Ease of Installation: Mounts on standard 4-inch square junction boxes with a minimum depth of 2.125 inches, and features SEMS screws with clamping plates for straightforward wiring.
